martin@chaoscut.comCommon questions
- Where does my video go after export?
- Straight into your photo library, as a 1080×1920 vertical MP4 with the music baked in. Share it from Photos like any other video.
- Can I use my own music?
- Yes. Tap Add a song on the home screen and pick an MP3 or WAV from Files. ChaosCut finds the beat on your phone — nothing is uploaded — and the song then shows up under Your audio in every reel's beat picker. The bundled templates come with hand-tuned beat maps; for your own songs you can check and adjust the cuts before using them.
- Some of my clips weren't used. Why?
- When you add more clips than the track has beat windows, ChaosCut keeps the liveliest ones spread across the day. Star a clip to guarantee it's in, or open the editor and use Replace on any segment.
- A clip from iCloud is slow to load.
- Clips that only live in iCloud are downloaded while the project analyzes. Give it a moment on Wi-Fi; export never waits on the network.
- I made a mess in the editor.
- Undo is in the editor toolbar and every edit is reversible. You can also go back to the beat picker and re-cut; you'll be asked before your edits are replaced.
- How do I delete my data?
- Delete a project inside the app to remove its copies of your media. Deleting the app removes everything.
